Fall bidnezz

Already into October of 2011... huh?  And it's 80+ degrees in Chicago... wha?? But I already busted out the cardigans.  I love my cardigans.  Give me my fall back.

This month is a busy one and I'm elated to be able to say that.  Added bonus is that I'm out doing a some shows with former Chicago resident, Mr. Dave Tamkin -- we've yet to meet, but judging from our exchange of odd-fueled emails, we'll get along quite swimmingly.  I'll be meeting him in beautiful Denver at the Soiled Dove next Thurs, Oct. 13 and then we'll be in the Midwest slinging our wares.  Hope to see new & old friends everywhere we go.

Also, there's a new record to be released.  The next EP, right?  Well, kids, I've had a change of direction.  It seems a new full length is where my thoughts are these days, so that's just where I'm headed.  March is the target.  I'll have updates and demos and videos of me attempting to make some magic, all while avoiding meltdowns and crying jags along the way.  They'll be moments of euphoria and triumph, too, but the messy stuff always gets the attention.  And hopefully the music will, as well.

Friday Night Chicago Show Alert!

Hey, All... just wanted to give you a reminder of this Friday's Schubas show.  It's a bit of a farewell of sorts for my dear friend and lead guitar master Aaron Bakker who is taking his wares to LA.  I'm sure we'll play together again in the future, but for now we're putting together this rock show and playing like he'll be jettisoned to the outer edges of the galaxy for all eternity.
